Supporting Cornwall

At Native Burger, we believe good hospitality should positively contribute to the place it calls home. From the suppliers we work with; to the atmosphere we create within the restaurant, we aim to support Cornwall’s independent food scene whilst creating somewhere people genuinely enjoy spending time in.

Since opening, our goal has always been to deliver high quality food, a welcoming customer experience and a vibrant restaurant environment that adds positively to the town’s growing hospitality offering.

Supporting Local Businesses

Where possible, we work with Cornish suppliers, producers and independent businesses across different areas of the restaurant. Supporting local businesses not only helps strengthen the local economy, but also allows us to showcase the quality of Cornwall’s food and drink industry through the Native Burger experience.

Alongside our food suppliers, we also work with local businesses for services including branding, uniforms, menu printing and design.

Creating Opportunities

As an independent business, we are proud to provide local employment opportunities within both Bodmin and Launceston, whilst continuing to invest in the development of our team.

This includes taking part in chef apprenticeship programmes in partnership with local colleges, helping provide valuable hands on hospitality experience and career development opportunities for young people within the local area.

We believe hospitality businesses can play an important role in supporting long-term opportunities within their communities and creating working environments where people feel valued, supported and encouraged to grow within the industry.

Accessibility & Inclusivity

We want Native Burger to feel welcoming and accessible to as many people as possible.

Our Bodmin restaurant is set across a single level with step-free access throughout and accessible toilet facilities available on site. Our Launceston restaurant also offers accessible seating, with only a small step leading into the restaurant space.

We welcome families, visitors, local residents and customers with varying dietary or accessibility requirements.

Our team will always do their best to support individual customer needs wherever reasonably possible, whether that involves seating requests, dietary requirements or accessibility support before visiting.

Responsible Operations

Operationally, we focus on maintaining a tightly managed menu and efficient stock management processes to help reduce unnecessary waste whilst supporting consistency across the customer experience.

Used cooking oil is collected and recycled through our supplier network as part of our waste management approach, and we continue to review opportunities to improve our environmental and operational practices as the business develops.

Where possible, we also aim to reduce unnecessary transport within the supply chain by working with suppliers based within Cornwall.

Supporting Cornwalls Hospitality Scene

Since opening, Native Burger has become part of the growing independent hospitality scene within both Bodmin and Launceston, helping attract local residents and visitors into the town centres during both daytime and evening trade.

One of the things we are most proud of is hearing customers describe Native Burger as something fresh for the area and somewhere they now travel specifically to visit, whether that’s as part of a trip to Cornwall or simply for a good meal and atmosphere.

As Native Burger continues to grow, we remain committed to supporting Cornwall’s visitor economy, championing independent hospitality and continuing to create restaurant spaces that both local residents and visitors genuinely enjoy spending time in.
